About Us
Extended Opportunity Programs & Services (EOPS) provides academic and personal services to students disadvantaged by social, economic, educational, or linguistic barriers in order to help them reach their educational and career goals.

Qualifications
- Be a resident of California, or qualify for the AB540 exemption waiver, as determined by the Admission and Records Office
- Apply and receive a California College Promise Grant (CCPG) A, B, or C with EFC/SAI of 0 and below.
- Have less than 55 degree-applicable units from all colleges attended (Have not earned a degree).
- Have at least a 2.0 GPA.
- Have full-time enrollment (12+ units) at the time of application in a program leading towards a career/technical certificate, associate degree or transfer to a four-year institution.
- Be educationally disadvantaged through one or more of the following criteria:
- NOT a high school graduate nor completed the GED
- Have a high school GPA below 2.5
- Been previously enrolled in remedial courses in high school and/or college
- Be an emancipated foster youth (former foster care youth)
- Be a first generation college student
- Be a non-native English speaker
